Barter
The glossary of statistical terms, published by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), suggests that a barter transaction: ‘…involves two parties and is one where one basket of goods and services is exchanged for another basket of different goods and services without any accompanying monetary payment.’
