In 1989, YuchaiHI became the first Chinese manufacturer to produce mini-excavators. The company exported its initial batch of Yuchai Mini-excavators to Germany in 1990. YuchaiHI has earned distinctions such as "National High-tech Enterprise" and "Key High-tech Enterprise of the National Torch Program."
