About JLRSimmonds
Senior Electrical Engineer with a passion for susstainability!
Hello there! I am Jessica Simmonds, a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer from the United Kingdom, with a robust track record spanning over a decade in the engineering sector. My professional journey has allowed me to develop a deep expertise in electrical systems within various top-tier engineering firms including McBains, Norman Disney & Young, and Troup Bywaters + Anders.
At McBains, I embraced the challenge of integrating cutting-edge electrical solutions in a fast-paced urban setting, a role I carried through with innovative strategy and leadership. Prior to that, my tenure at Norman Disney & Young involved overseeing substantial projects that pushed the boundaries of conventional engineering practices, enhancing both efficiency and sustainability.
I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Engineering Management, specializing in sustainability, to further bolster my skills and impact in creating environmentally conscious engineering solutions. This blog is a platform where I share my professional experiences, insights into sustainable engineering practices, and the lessons I've learned from a career dedicated to technological and sustainable advancement.
Stay tuned for more insights as I navigate the complex intersections of engineering, sustainability, and global impact.
