Tree-rooting environment
Trees in Hard Landscapes, A Guide for Delivery, published by the Trees and Design Action Group in September 2014, defines a tree-growing environment or tree-rooting environment as: ‘…the wider area of growing medium that roots can expand into to support the growth of the tree.’
