Significant event
Culvert, screen and outfall manual, (CIRIA C786) published by CIRIA in 2019, defines a significant event as: ‘An event that has sufficient flow to lift debris off the bed and banks of the watercourse which otherwise would have stayed in situ during normal flows.’
