Data Protection Laws

Information protocol to support BS EN ISO 19650-2 the delivery phase of assets, Edition 2, published by The UK BIM Framework in 2020, defines Data Protection Laws as: ‘…applicable to either Party and/or to the rights, responsibilities and/or obligations of either Party in connection with this Appointment and:

• the GDPR;
• the Data Protection Act 2018;
• the Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy Directive) and/or the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003;
• any other applicable law relating to the processing, privacy and/or use of Personal Data, as applicable to either Party and/or to the rights, responsibilities and/or obligations of either Party in connection with this Appointment;
• any laws which implement any such laws; and
• any laws that replace, extend, re-enact, consolidate or amend any of the foregoing;’
