Baseline costs
Cost prediction, Professional Statement, 1st edition, published in November 2020 by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), defines baseline costs as: ‘The predicted cost at a given point in time against which all future costs are compared. Baseline costs may be produced at different points in time as the design is progressively refined and the amount of available information increases.’
