Amorphous solid
An amorphous solid has some of the crystalline order of a solid and some of the random molecular structure of a liquid. These materials lack a long-range, ordered atomic structure, resembling a frozen liquid with a disordered arrangement of molecules. Unlike crystalline solids, which have a regular, repeating pattern, amorphous solids have no definite geometric shape and don't have a sharp melting point, instead softening gradually over a range of temperatures. Examples of amorphous solids include glass, plastics, rubber, certain polymers, gels or even toothpaste.
