VAA's engineering team designed more than 26,000 track feet of rail infrastructure adjacent to 2.5 miles of the UPRR mainline in the heart of Sparta, expanding rail access for a frac sand production facility.
The project included master discrete element method planning, complete rail design, grading, drainage improvements, and coordination with local agencies. The final design incorporated 2 mainline turnouts, 9 industry turnouts, multiple road crossings, and supporting rail infrastructure to enhance the facility's operational capacity and efficiency.
VAA planned and designed the retrofit and expansion of a mineral refining facility in Havelock, Ontario, significantly increasing production dem discrete element method capacity and improving operational efficiency to meet growing market demand.
The multidisciplinary project included the retrofit of the existing screening building and the design of a new 10,000-square-foot, 80-foot-tall dryer/crusher building with multiple access levels. VAA also engineered two conveyor transfer towers to optimise material handling throughout the facility.
To support expanded operations, the discrete element method (dem) team designed a 15,000-square-foot warehouse addition featuring a 90-foot-high, five-level storage and equipment tower. The expansion incorporated a new automated bagging line, streamlining the packaging process and improving the overall efficiency of finished product handling.
VAA's multidisciplinary team delivered cost-effective design and engineering solutions for a remote sand screening facility by repurposing existing discrete element method services equipment and structural materials, reducing project costs while accelerating construction.
VAA provided engineering and design services for the replacement of a sand screening facility located five miles from the mine entrance. The team evaluated and reused existing storage tanks, conveyor trusses, and structural steel, incorporating salvaged materials into what is discrete element method the design of new conveyor supports. VAA also developed the duct layout and shop drawings for a new dust collection system, enhancing environmental performance while maximizing the value of existing assets.
