I would like to express my interest in a position as Quantity Surveyor for your organisation. I am currently available in Dubai on visit visa status. I am writing to outline my excellent academic background and skills, knowledge and experience that I have gained so far. I believe that these will make me an ideal candidate for a position of Quantity Surveyor in your organization.
As you will note from my attached CV, I am holding a Bsc(Hons) Degree in Quantity Surveying from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka with academic standing of Second Class Division. I have total of 4 years of experience in different aspects of quantity surveying practices which is gained through working in reputed multinational construction contracting organisations and consultancy organisations involving in number of building construction projects, infrastructure and MEP projects.
I am familiar with team work environment and confident in performing independent when it is required. I believe I am competent Quantity Surveyor to handle all key performance such as Valuation, Tendering and Estimating, BOQ preparation, Cost controlling and monitoring. Further, I have sound knowledge in SMM7, CESMM 4, NRM 2, POMI, SLS573 and FIDIC. Moreover, I have sound knowledge in Auto CAD and MS Office Package.
I am now looking to secure a challenging and rewarding role and I believe that these skills, together with my knowledge and expertise, would make me an asset to your organisation.
