Agraharam
Agraharam is home that looks traditional from the outside but is filled with all modernity on the inside. Located near a temple, the site had a calm natural aura. Ar. Vinay Mohan, the Founder and Principal Architect of V.M Architects decided to design a home that blended with that natural aura of the site.
The high pitched roof with flower design clay roofing tiles gives an unusual look to the home from the outside. The green creepers falling down from the first floor increase the aesthetic beauty as well as helping create a natural feel to the exterior.
Inside, you feel welcome in the family living and dining area. Since nature was very important to the client, potted plants can be seen in all corners, with an architectural design that lets in a lot of natural light. A mesmerizing view to the outside garden area can be seen from the dining area.
The kitchen is designed in an open island style with a kitchen side garden. The exposed concrete finish of the kitchen and the dining space gives the area a raw look.
All the bedrooms are simple, elegant and well furnished matching the overall interior theme.
