PAS128 - Utility Search
PAS 128 is a specification for underground utility detection, verification and location. Published by the British Standards Institute, it sets out to establish industry best practice for conducting utility surveys. Within this specification, a desktop utility search, or “Type D Survey” is a prerequisite to any subsequent onsite detection.
Arup sponsored this specification and contributed to its evolution as members of the steering group. All their Utility Search Reports are conducted to this specification.
