Fire risk
PAS 9980:2022, Fire risk appraisal of external wall construction and cladding of existing blocks of flats – Code of practice, published by BSI Standards Limited in 2022, defines fire risk as the: ‘combination of the likelihood of the occurrence of fire and likely consequence(s) of a fire. NOTE In the context of this PAS, the relevant consequences of a fire are those involving injury to people (number and severity of injuries), as opposed to damage to property.’
