About GoHz 400Hz Frequency Converters
Aircraft ground support operations require specialized power for maintenance, testing, and calibration of onboard systems. GoHz 400Hz frequency converters are integral to Ground Power Units (GPUs), enabling standard 50/60 Hz output from 400Hz grids. This low-frequency power is used to run avionics, cockpit electronics, hydraulic systems, and air conditioning units with starting the aircraft engines, at the same time run standard electric devices, thus reducing fuel usage and emissions. At airports and hangars, 400 Hz to 50Hz/60Hz frequency converters allow technicians to perform diagnostics, software updates, and pre-flight checks under real operating conditions. Their portable designs and rugged construction make them suitable for both civilian and military aviation environments. Furthermore, GoHz 400Hz frequency converters support aircraft production lines by powering subsystems during the manufacturing process, ensuring smooth integration of electrical components. In training simulators, they enable realistic operating conditions for pilot and crew instruction. Their ability to mimic onboard power standards without relying on auxiliary engines contributes to safety, cost efficiency, and environmental stewardship in modern aviation.
