About Keithcooper
UK Midlands based architectural and industrial photographer showing the world around in interesting ways that work for our clients.
I'm a commercial photographer at Northlight Images* specialising in the built environment and engineering. We're in Leicester and cover the whole UK north of London.
Set us a challenge or just call (+44 (0)116 291 9092) to have a chat?
Great photos have a job to do and your story to tell - that takes visual understanding and the ability to convey it in an instant.
I've an unapologetic desire to leave large format film behind as a relic of the last century, and embrace the capabilities of digital imaging, whether for huge prints, ultra high resolution images or precision mapping of the geometry of images to maximise their use, such as rectification and verified views.
Unlike many photographers I have a scientific and engineering background going back to my work as a geologist and surveyor.
That technical expertise makes for technical imaging solutions that fit our client's needs - and look superb too.
I regularly test new equipment and software for major companies (such as Canon and Epson), always looking for novel and useful solutions to problems.
Some of our most interesting projects have come from an initial "I don't know if you can show this but..." conversation.
This view of Leicester city centre at dusk was printed (by myself) at 14 metres wide from an original image file of over 20 Gigabytes.
As a recent example of our new product testing work, see this review of an all new 12mm ultra wide angle lens - as of publication, the lens had not yet been formally launched.
