Supplementary planning guidance, published by the Mayor of London in March 2012, states that: ‘Open Space Strategies set out how a local councils and organisation responsible for parks and open spaces will invest in and manage the open spaces in their area. Open Space Strategies: Best practice guidance prepared by The Mayor of London and CABE sets out how to prepare a strategy including the audit of existing spaces, preparing a vision for future investment, establishing local standards and developing an action plan for long term management.’
