Everyday landscapes

Glossary of the Information System of the Council of Europe Landscape Convention, Spatial planning and landscape, No. 106, published by the Council of Europe in 2018, states: ‘Everyday landscapes are usually those corresponding to most surroundings where people live. They change constantly as a result of the effects of social, economic and environmental developments. The values assigned to them by the population are linked primarily to individual and social well-being. This is why they are usually the subject of management at the most appropriate level (national, regional or local).’
