Quality aspirations
The RIBA Plan of Work published by the RIBA in 2020 defines ‘quality aspirations’ as: ‘The objectives that set out the quality aspects of a project. The objectives may comprise both subjective and objective aspects.’
It suggest that some clients base their quality aspirations on value, and that they can relate to a building, space, materials, finishes or to the quality of construction. Quality aspirations can be conveyed by written statements but they might be better expressed by images from similar exemplar projects.
