National Ecological Network

North Ayrshire Local Biodiversity Action Plan, 2019-2031, published by North Ayrshire Council, states: ‘The Scottish Biodiversity Strategy document “Scotland’s Biodiversity – a Route Map to 2020” includes an action to “develop a national ecological network to enable characterisation of the nature of Scotland, and to help with the identification of priority areas for action on habitat restoration, creation and protection.” Scottish Natural Heritage is the lead partner for this action.’
