Low income household

The Social Market Foundation defines a low income household as: ‘n households that are in relative poverty. The government’s official definition of poverty refers to households that have below 60% of median equivalised household disposable income (before or after housing costs). There are other robust definitions of income poverty which may take a different threshold (70% instead of 60%). Other measures, such as the Minimum Income Standard, are based on what the public think people need for an acceptable minimum standard of living.’ Ref https://www.smf.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Measuring-the-Poverty-Premium.pdf
