Farmstead

The glossary of statistical terms, published by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), defines a farmstead as: ‘…an entity comprising the main building, adjacent yards, kitchen, garden and family orchard on a farm.’

High Speed Rail (Crewe – Manchester) Environmental Statement, Glossary, abbreviations and references, published by the Department for Transport in 2022, defines a farmstead as: ‘The part of a farm containing most of its buildings, including the farmhouse.’
