Inclusive design lead

The Inclusive Design Overlay to the RIBA Plan of Work published by the RIBA in 2023, states: ‘An Inclusive design lead on the majority of projects will be an independent Inclusive Design Consultant, however where the project is smaller in size and doesn’t require specialist inclusive design advice, an Inclusion Champion could be identified with appropriate scope and services from a member of the project team and will have a responsibility for ensuring the project is designed to be as inclusive as possible.’
