Aeolian

Deposit Modelling and Archaeology, Guidance for Mapping Buried Deposits, published by Historic England on 31 January 2020, defines aeolian as a: ‘Natural processes driven by wind action that can lead to both the erosion and deposition of sediments.’

Geoarchaeology, Using Earth Sciences to Understand the Archaeological Record, published by Historic England in 2015, defines aeolian as: ‘…an adjective meaning ‘of wind’, but also sometimes used as ‘windblown’’.
