Tree line

AR5 Climate Change 2014: Impacts, Adaptation, and Vulnerability, Glossary, published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) defines the tree line as: ‘The upper limit of tree growth in mountains or at high latitudes. It is more elevated or more poleward than the forest line.’
