The Wildlife Trusts

The Wildlife Trusts is the umbrella organisation for 46 Wildlife Trusts in the UK, the Isle of Man and Alderney. It was originally established as an independent charity under the name, the Society for the Promotion of Nature Reserves in 1912. It became the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT) in 2002.

The focus of the organisation is the conservation of wildlife and the promotion of biodiversity, with an emphasis on the preservation of natural ecosystems.
