This is an archive version of an article from the CPIc website, which was closed in 2025. CPIc (the Construction Project Information Committee) was formed from representatives of the major industry institutions and was responsible for providing best practice guidance on the content, form and preparation of construction production information. |
This document is the report which resulted from the work of a group set up by the NCC Standing Committee on Computing and Data Co-ordination to examine project information, is described. The communication problems occurring at the interface between the design team and the contractor are examined, and proposals are made concerning the content and structure of drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.
As a result of this document, the forerunner of the Construction Project Information Committee was set up.
