Saturated air
Assessing risks in insulation retrofits using hygrothermal software tools, Heat and moisture transport in internally insulated stone walls, by Joseph Little, Calina Ferraro and Beñat Arregi, published by Historic Environment Scotland in 2015, defines saturated air as: ‘Air in which the water vapour has reached its saturation vapour pressure. This state corresponds to 100 % relative humidity and the temperature corresponds to the dew-point temperature.’
It defines saturation vapour pressure as: ‘The maximum vapour pressure (i.e. maximum amount of vapour) possible in air at a specific temperature.’
