Financial statements
RICS Valuation – Global Standards, Effective from 31 January 2022, Published by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in November 2021, defines financial statements as: ‘Written statements of the financial position of a person or a corporate entity, and formal financial records of prescribed content and form. These are published to provide information to a wide variety of unspecified third party users. Financial statements carry a measure of public accountability that is developed within a regulatory framework of accounting standards and the law.’
