Degraded landscapes

Glossary of the Information System of the Council of Europe Landscape Convention, Spatial planning and landscape, No. 106, published by the Council of Europe in 2018, states: ‘Degraded landscapes are those to which the population no longer assigns positive values, and which therefore no longer have a role to play. This is why they are usually the subject of planning at the most appropriate level (national, regional or local).’
