TWO amazing student competitions
Add your best essays to Designing Buildings Wiki and get noticed by two of the world’s greatest design practices.
STUDENT ENGINEERS - Buro Happold is offering a three-week internship in the summer of 2013 for the best student article about engineering added to Designing Buildings Wiki.
We have teamed up with the world-renowned engineers for the Olympic Stadium, O2, British Museum Great Court, Emirates Stadium, Cutty Sark Visitor Centre and many more to call for well-researched, clearly-written articles about engineering.
Andrew Comer, Director of Buro Happold said: "As a profession, engineers hold an enormous amount of expert knowledge about every aspect of building design. But we aren't always great at explaining that knowledge to other people. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to practise putting engineering into words and at the same time demonstrate how much they know to the rest of the industry."

STUDENT ARCHITECTS - Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners are offering £500 for the best student article about architecture added to Designing Buildings Wiki.
We have teamed up with the world-renowned architects of Heathrow Terminal 5, the O2, Lloyds of London and the Pompidou Centre to call for well-researched, clearly-written articles about architecture.
Andrew Morris, Senior Partner at RSHP said: "Designing Buildings Wiki is a great resource for students to learn about the industry. Not just their own subject, but to find out what other people do as well, it’s a forum for interacting with the industry as a whole. This competition gives students a chance to write about architecture in the wider context of the built environment."

The two winners will also be invited to write a blog about themselves for the Designing Building Wiki’s home page. Five runners-up from each competition will receive commendations and will be featured on the home page, and all suitable entries will be added to the site.
Competitions close: 5pm Friday 14th December 2012.
