Overall, highly-processed bamboo products such as flattened bamboo and plybamboo, whose physical properties (e.g. density, durability, hardness) have been improved through industrial processes outperform conventional materials in terms of their contribution to the overall CO2 sequestration. Additionally, highly-processed bamboo products sequester more CO2 than moderately-processed bamboo products.
