The BIM consultant team is responsible in to helping owner solving the people, process, and technology problem and deliver custom solutions and technology integrations for the AEC community, including:

- Establish Employer Information Requirement and BIM requirements for Request For Proposal

- Establish contract attachments to advance BIM requirements to consultancy and contractors, contract compliance tracking and approve the deliverables

- Establish BIM project execution Plan

Now, there are so many BIM guidelines, protocols and file formats to share and manage BIM database. For example IFC (Industry Foundation Class) was developed by buildingSMART to become a standard data format to describe, interchange and share information which use in civil construction field; [http://vibim.com.vn/blog/cobie-bim-ngan-va-dai-han.html COBie] (Construction Operations Building information exchange) is to collect and exchange information in construction lifecycle for project management.

In short, almost of BIM guidelines in the world have 4 major parts:

- Project Execution Plan (PEP)

- Modeling Methodology (MM)

- Levels of Detail (LODs)

- BIM protocol and information organization (P&O)

Until 2015 in USA, some independence departments of state published 47 BIM guidelines, standards to implement BIM efficiently, in which 17 were published by government office and 30 were published by non-profit organizations. General Services Administration (GSA) plans to publish 8 BIM independence instructions but have relative together. They published 6 instructions from 2007 to 2011 and 2 others are proved to publish. National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) published 2 BIM standard versions and prepared to publish the 3rd. In addition, American Institute of Architects, Association of General Contractors (AGC), universities, state and city also publish other BIM guidelines and standard. |In which, publishers of Pennsylvania state university and Association of contractors have full of 4 above part. Some others don’t have enough 4 parts in which about 50% don’t clarify about Level of details (LODs)

In the present, Europe have about 34 BIM instructions and standard, in which, 18 was published in United Kingdom by Construction Industry Council (CIC), BIM Task Group, British Standards Institution (BSI), AEC-UK…, 6 publish in Norway by Statsbygg – a government department and Norway Association of construction. Furthermore there are made in Finland, Denmark, and Sweden. Especially in Finland, there are BIM application instructions for not only civil but also infrastructure and bridge project. Almost of publishers in Europe are lacks of 2 parts: PEP and LODs. Only BIM specification of AEC-UK have full of 4 parts.

Others were published in Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The same like Europe, almost of them are lacks of 2 parts: PEP and LODs. Only its version 2 of BCS have full 4 parts.
