LIFE IN GREEN SOUL BUILDING

ARCHITECTURAL EXPERIENCE AT TITAN INTEGRITY CAMPUS, BANGALORE

[[File:31.JPG]]

Green is something that these most developed urban cities lack with tall skyscrapers, the jungle of concrete is what we human beings have made in the few last decades. What if we learn how to make buildings that become a part of nature, the green and the IoT world we aspire to live in? The Titan Integrity Campus, Bangalore by Mindspace architects is a perfect blend of a building with nature that resulted in a 30% reduction in energy consumption and also got a 5-star GRIHA rating on completion in the year 2017.

“Building with the soul of nature.”

The longer sides of the building face north, which brings in glare-free natural lights, the interior of the building also has light sensors which control the appropriate number of lumens required for the working environment, thus balancing the environment with sunlight. The forms allow the breeze to pass through the building, hence the common spaces are kept open and non-air conditioned. To cut off the western sun, green walls and green buffer spaces are created which provides the workers with a non-obstructing workflow and spaces to chill out.

[[File:32.JPG]]

What makes this building different is not just its biophilic design and cascading green terraces but also the reflection of the architect’s love for curves and parametric design. The wise choice of materials and the green construction techniques like conservation of the topsoil and use of gunny bags for curing of columns makes the building one of its kind.

“Non-Building with people in its veins”

Just like an island floats in the middle of the river, the bio lake all around the building gives the essence just like an island. The office workers don’t feel they are in an office rather in a zone to play and work and also to roam around the building through the 650 meters long green pathway linking all the floors and different blocks.
