[[File:Printed hoarding.jpg]]

Printed Hoarding to make building site hoardings more attractive is becoming increasingly popular as opposed to using them for a marketing. With the housing market booming in London and the south-east of England building work is popping up everywhere which is causing great stress for the neighbours. With house prices reaching an all time high in London and with most having been extended to the maximum, there is only one place people can go and that’s down!

Basements are now very cost-effective per M2 when you compare it to the £12 million house price and digging the basements out is not for the fainthearted. Often the skip is positioned on the road with a plywood hoarding around it with a conveyor belt carrying the waste from the basement into the skip.

These skip hoardings do look ugly and cumbersome especially when you think most of the affluent areas in London are in conservation areas. House builders and contractors have been coming up with a creative design and digitally print a camouflage pattern onto aluminium panel and fix it to the skip hoarding so it blends into the environment better. Our Printed hoarding panels come in 8ft x 4ft (2400 mm x 1220 mm).

Digitally printed hoarding panels can be printed with any design whether its brickwork, fence or ivy and shrubs designs we can assess how best to blend into the local environment.

[[File:Before wrap.jpg]]

The hardest part of the building wrapping is getting the scaffolding ready and safe for the building wrapping to be installed onto.

The scaffolding can only be designed and erected by a qualified scaffolding contractor, who if necessary will have access to engineers to calculate important wind loads. These wind load calculations are very important, as if not done winds could pull the scaffold structure down and could be fatal.

Getting the scaffolding designed to accommodate the building wrap at the beginning is very important. Trying to modify the scaffolding structure once it has been erected is expensive and sometimes just not possible.

== Building wrapping how to: ==

For more information on scaffolding contractors please visit NASC (National Access & Scaffolding Confederation www.nasc.org.uk is recognised as the national trade body for access and scaffolding in the UK, producing a wide range of industry guidance for scaffolding contractors, their operatives and their clients. Members of the NASC are strictly regulated to ensure a continuous high standard of scaffolding practice.)

The [https://projectprintmanagement.co.uk/printing-services/building-wraps/ building wrap] needs to be installed onto a picture frame scaffold structure which projects about 300mm further than the last projected pole on the main scaffolding. This will allow the building wrap banner to move back and forth in the wind without fouling on any poles. Projecting scaffold pole should also be capped to cover sharp ends. If any part of the [https://projectprintmanagement.co.uk/printing-services/building-wraps/ building wraps] banner fouls on anything it will eventually wear though and the banner integrity is then compromised.

Most of our building wraps are for decorative purpose. Hiding or disguising the unattractive cumbersome scaffold will greatly enhance the construction site and the overall amenity. Something the architect and planners are insisting on, especially on architectural or historical buildings of importance. Building wrap and high level billboards (anything over 4.6 meters from the ground to top of the advertisement) can also be used for advertising.

Being a [https://projectprintmanagement.co.uk/printing-services/building-wraps/ building wrap] specialist, we can also supply the hire and installation of the scaffolding sub-frames needed to wrap the mesh PVC print around. We are also happy to work with your chosen scaffold contractor and work with them to ensure the necessary sub-frame is installed correctly.

Our [https://projectprintmanagement.co.uk/printing-services/printed-hoardings/ Printed hoardings] are high quality 3mm aluminium composite panel. Digitally printed high resolution and over laminated with an anti-graffiti film. The laminate will give the print better longevity and any graffiti can be wiped off without damaging the print.
