Friday, November 4th at the University of Lincoln saw a most exciting Climathon Sprint final. A challenge for students to generate new sustainability ideas for a former industrial area (Conesby Quarry near Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire) towards a sustainable Net Zero future. Owned by North Lincolnshire Council, the quarry is located within the Humber Industrial Cluster, the most carbon intensive industrial cluster in the UK.

<br />
Sponsored by Artelia, with over 100 international and UK postgraduate students participating; from Engineering Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management and Architecture disciplines. They were grouped into 10 teams, within a short timeframe, to compete and create, the best sustainability concept while considering Net Zero, social impact, biodiversity and innovation aspects. Congrats to all the participating student teams and appreciation to the judging panel of industry professionals.
