COM is Customer's Own Material. <br/>

This is used when a client selects a fabric for an upholstered item of FF&E such as seat furniture. Manufacturers will specify the conditions COM must be meet to be acceptable for manufacture.

In the case of purchasing FF&E with COM the cost will have to account the manufacturer's price for the furniture and a separate fabric cost. Usually the client will purchase the COM direct and free issue to the manufacturer.
