New page

[https://krishnavillage-retreat.com/ Krishna Village] is built on the principles of Bhakti culture and a "simple living, high thinking" way of life. At the foot of the mountain that houses our Radha Govardhandhari temple, guests are welcome to explore this spiritual tradition as much or as little as feels right for them—whether that means joining kirtan and temple visits, or simply enjoying the stillness of a farm at sunrise. Ahimsa, the practice of non-violence, sits at the heart of everything we do, which is why the Village and ashram grounds are entirely vegetarian—no meat, fish, or eggs are permitted on-site. In their place, we serve three delicious vegetarian meals a day, including a mostly-raw lunch, prepared with the same care and intention that shapes the rest of the community.

At any given time, around 75 people call the Village home — retreat guests taking a week away from the noise of daily life, yoga teacher trainees working toward certification, and a rotating crew of Karma Yogi volunteers who help run the farm and gardens that sustain the whole community. Travellers, locals, and long-term residents of all ages move through these grounds together, drawn by the same thing: a chance to slow down, reconnect, and live a little more intentionally for a while.
