= What is the Flexible Skills Programme? =

The Flexible Skills Programme (FSP) is a Welsh Government funded initiative that supports businesses across Wales to invest in themselves and build a stronger, more skilled workforce, with employers able to apply for funding to cover 50% of accredited training costs. FSP helps companies invest in the future of their team with up to £50,000 per application and no minimum funding limit.

= Who can and how to apply? =

Funding is available to employers based in Wales, operating in the vast majority of industries across the country that are solvent and committed to releasing staff to undertake training by the end of March 2026. There is no requirement to use a particular training company so long as they are a certified training provider and any supported training in the programme is accredited or to a recognised industry standard. Funding is discretionary and the final decision on eligibility rests with the Welsh Government. Businesses can submit an initial Expression of Interest form on the Business Wales website, with the option of assistance from a Relationship Manager and member of the skills team will respond as soon as possible and no later than 10 working days.
