	The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership (TESP) is a not-for-profit industry partnership formed by the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA), Joint Industry Board (JIB), National Electrotechnical Training (NET), SELECT and Unite the Union to support electrotechnical employers to develop and drive the industry’s skills agenda. 		+	The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership (TESP) is a not-for-profit industry partnership formed by the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA), Joint Industry Board (JIB), National Electrotechnical Training (NET), SELECT and Unite the Union to support electrotechnical employers to develop and drive the industry’s skills agenda.

		+	TESP delivers a wide range of activity to support the industry employers’ skills needs, working collaboratively in partnership with a broad range of employers, providers and industry organisations to promote sector careers and progression, influence change, uphold and improve industry standards and build a picture of future skills needs.

		+	TESP aims to ensure a robust, high quality competence framework is in place for training and current and new occupations, from entry-level and apprenticeships through to higher-level apprenticeships and qualifications. Proud to represent the voice of the industry on skills matters to UK Government, devolved administrations and wider industry committees such as the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification Management Committee. Ii is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company and receives funding only from its members to invest into projects to support the electrotechnical industry and its skills needs.

		+	TESP objectives include:

		+	* Shaping Policy: Working with a broad range of political and industry stakeholders to ensure that changes in the political and legislative landscape support employers and individuals working in the electrotechnical industry.
		+	* Raising Standards and Promoting Professionalism:Aiming to ensure there are coherent and holistic pathways between standards, assessment and accreditation for all electrotechnical professionals regardless of age or experience. This includes current and new occupations, and spans entry-level through to upskilling and Continuing Professional Development (CPD), including provision for specialist areas and career changers.
		+	* Ensuring High Quality of Training and Assessment: Helping to ensure that training programmes and qualifications provide the skills appropriate for current and new occupations, covering both traditional roles and emerging careers led by green and low carbon developments. Alongside training and qualifications, it also strives to ensure robust assessment practices are in place in order to maintain high standards of occupational competence.
		+	* Promoting Career Opportunities: TESP works with employers, education providers and relevant stakeholders to promote careers in the industry and to ensure high-calibre individuals are recruited and retained to deliver the skills required for the industry to grow and increase its value.
