	In architecture, the term ‘reveal’ refers very broadly to the inner surface of an opening or recess in a wall, typically in relation to a window or door. The reveal may be formed by a timber frame, with a sill or threshold at the bottom, or it may be plastered or formed by other materials such as brick, stone, tiles, fibreboard and so on. The reveal forms a box structure to which a window or door frame is attached.
