−	The Procurement Compliance Service (PCS) began ~~operationing~~ on February 24, 2025, set-up as part of the Procurement Review Unit (PRU), and alongside the introduction the Procurement Act 2023 which came into force also on 24 February 2025, it is based in the Cabinet Office. PCS is a service to investigate contracting authorities’ compliance with the requirements of the Procurement Act 2023, it has the power to issue (and if desired, publish) statutory recommendations to a contracting authority under investigation, and/or guidance that applies more generally to contracting authorities, following the conclusion of the investigation.
