New page

== Introduction ==

The International Excellence Awards (IEA) 2027 are open for entries. Organised by Architecture & Design Community, the third edition of the IEA accepts built, produced and conceptual work by architects, interior and landscape designers, product, furniture, lighting and fashion designers, studios and students from any country. Projects created fully or partially with AI are also eligible.

== Categories ==

The awards have 11 categories and 240 nominations: Architecture, Interior, Landscape, Fashion, Furniture, Lighting, Packaging, Product, Transportation, Communication and AI-Powered Innovation. The Architecture category alone has 21 nominations, including Sustainable Architecture and Green Buildings, Adaptive Reuse and Restoration Projects, Heritage and Vernacular Architecture, Disaster-Resilient Architectural Solutions, and Urban Planning and Masterplans.

== Eligibility ==

* Projects must not be more than seven years old on the date of registration.
* Built, produced and conceptual projects are accepted.
* Projects that took part in previous editions, including winning entries, may enter again.

== How entries are judged ==

Entries are reviewed for compliance and then scored by an international jury on a secure judging platform. Each juror scores every project individually on a 1–10 scale against three criteria: Innovation & Originality, Design & Aesthetic Quality, and Functionality & Spatial Integration. The final score is the average of all jurors' scores, and it sets the award level: Platinum (9.0–10.0), Gold (7.5–8.9), Silver (6.0–7.4) or Bronze (4.5–5.9). Projects are not ranked against each other and there is no limit on the number of winners in a category. Submitted images and texts must not show the authors' names or logos.

The 2027 jury members come from Brazil, the United States, Thailand and Egypt; see [https://www.designingbuildings.co.uk/wiki/International_Excellence_Awards_2027_Grand_Jury International Excellence Awards 2027 Grand Jury].
