Structural features and equipment to ensure everyone reaches safety in case of a fire. GFP includes measures:

* to reduce the risk of fire and to control the spread of fire;
* in relation to the means of escape from premises;
* for ensuring that the means of escape can be safely and effectively used whenever they are needed;
* in relation to the means of fighting fires;
* in relation to the means for detecting fire and giving warning in case of fire; and
* in relation to the arrangements for action to be taken in the event of fire.
