	The London Festival of Architecture is a month-long festival (in June) celebrating architecture and city making. The festival attracts 500,000 attendees across 400+ events each year. The festival encourages submissions from a wide range of design disciplines so opens architecture and design up to new audiences from many different backgrounds including those outside of the built environment. The theme this year is ‘Voices’ and is focused on giving a voice through architecture to those that have been overlooked and to encourage diverse perspectives and contributions. 		+	Hosted by Tom Gray MCIAT, this immersive and thought-provoking workshop places a strong emphasis on designing for people with sight impairments, challenging traditional architectural approaches and promoting true inclusivity throughout the design process.

		+	This hands-on, collaborative event invites early-career professionals, students, and innovators from across the built environment sector to explore how we can create spaces that are not only accessible but empowering for those with visual impairments.

		+	A highlight of the session will be personal insights from Fern Lulham, BBC Broadcaster, Audio Describer, and Psychotherapist, who will share her lived experience navigating the built environment with sight loss. Participants will also hear from Jenny McLaughlin, Inclusion Lead at Heathrow Airport, who will provide real-world examples of inclusive design in action.

		+	The workshop element led by Dr Poorang Piroozfar FCIAT will be a hands-on session to engage in open discussions, identify design barriers faced by people with sight impairments, and develop practical strategies to create more inclusive spaces. There will be some small group work, wider discussion and sharing of ideas in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Light refreshments will be provided.
