Job description

We’re excited to be creating a new role for a full-time content editor.

We are looking for a dedicated, hard-working and knowledgeable individual who has the vision to help us continue to grow as well as the energy and diligence to manage the day-to-day operation of the site, connecting with writers and researching and preparing new articles.

The role will include:

  • Helping develop and implement our ambitious plans for growth.
  • Writing factual articles.
  • Checking user-generated articles.
  • Ensuring existing articles remain up to date.
  • Promoting articles on social media.
  • Preparing newsletters and managing mailing lists.
  • Sourcing new articles from industry experts and peers.
  • Responding to queries.

Remuneration will be £30 to £35k depending on experience and skills.

Applicants should be passionate about the construction industry and have practical experience working on projects. Exceptional writing skills are a must as we strive to present and share complex technical subjects with wide audiences. A good working knowledge of social media and website operation is desirable.

Designing Buildings Wiki is based in Clapham, London, and subject to arrangement, the successful candidate may work from home.
