Airport

Very broadly, the term ‘airport’ refers to a place where civil cargo and / or passenger aircraft take off and land at regularly scheduled times, with facilities for passengers and aircraft maintenance and a complex of runways.
Airports are some of the most complicated parts of the built environment, with comlex and often contradictory requirements for access and security, the complete separation of traffic streams, car parking and transport interchanges and wide ranging commercial and processing requirements.
