Japanese Knotweed Ltd at the Contamination Expo Series 2016
Contamination Expo Series 2016 is the UK’s leading event for land contamination professionals to find innovative solutions and technology. The event is being jointly hosted with Flood Expo 2016 and organised by Prysm Group, award winning trade exhibition organisers.
Prysm Group were keen to have the Japanese knotweed remediation industry represented and Japanese Knotweed Ltd are happy to be exhibiting and providing a seminar at the event to be held at London Excel on the 12th and 13th of October 2016.
Japanese Knotweed Ltd is the UK’s largest Japanese Knotweed eradication company and a PCA accredited contractor. The exhibition stand (No. C124), manned by experienced professionals, will provide an informative insight to the problem of knotweed and solutions for dealing with it.
As well as exhibiting Japanese Knotweed Ltd will be providing a seminar on ‘Understanding and Remediating Japanese knotweed’. The talk will help property/land owners and developers who need to be aware of the impact that the presence of Japanese knotweed can have.
- Choosing the correct remedial strategy (utilising case studies for practical reference)
- Guarantees and Insurance
The ground containing living or chemically treated knotweed is contaminated by the plants rhizome. If this ground is disturbed the plant can grow and be spread. If the same ground is removed from site it is classed as a controlled waste under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Japanese knotweed can cause structural damage however this is relatively rare, it does however present a significant loss of amenity use to a property. Property owners and developers need to be aware and have a duty of care in the correct management, treatment and disposal of this contaminate.
For property owners it’s important that Japanese knotweed on their land is identified and controlled to ensure it doesn’t impact on neighbouring land. Conversely it’s important to identify any knotweed encroachment risk from neighbouring land/property as early as possible.
For construction companies if ground containing Japanese knotweed is planned for disturbance under development then in nearly all cases it will require instant eradication via way of excavation. Japanese Knotweed Ltd will work with our clients to devise the most effective and economic method of remediation utilising either on or off site disposal of knotweed waste.
Japanese Knotweed Ltd (www.japaneseknotweed.co.uk) has vast experience in the identification, management, control and treatment of this non-native invasive plant. We are here to help individuals or companies in the eradication of Japanese knotweed so contact us today: 0333 2414 413| email@example.com.
